On My Desk #2

on my desk 2

Every Monday, I’m going to post about what’s on my desk.

I’m working on the first draft of the sequel to Unbreakable (the first book in my solo series, The Legion), and today, my desk is my nightstand.

I usually write in my “office,” otherwise known at a chair in my bedroom. But I’m trying to work out a scene, which involves moving from room to room (because every writer knows if you change rooms, you’ll have an epiphany that will solve your problem). When I relocate, I drag my headphones, laptop, notecards,  and a spiral notebook that I use to sketch out a scene before I start writing. For this scene, I also need a few reference books.

So what’s on my desk?

– Box of Notecards
– Stacks of Notecards Related to the Scene That’s Torturing Me
– Spiral Notebook for Sketching Out the Main Events & Dialogue in a Scene Before I Start Writing
– The Lesser Key Of Solomon (Translation of the Original Grimoire)
– Baby Name Book for Naming Characters
– A Book About Spirits & Ghosts (Reference)

What’s on your desk today?
