Rockin' Out in NC

IMG_8109

Here we are rockin' on the porch of one of Beaufort, North Carolina's, historic homes – the Thomas Duncan House. It was built in 1856, and back then they were likely doing exactly what were are in this picture. Sitting on the porch, drinking sweet tea, and gossiping about the neighbors.

That's what I love about the South – tradition, porches, and sweet tea.

Hope you're rockin' out wherever you are.

OMG – how cool! I love all those things too because I, of course, live in the south. Hope you had fun!

Looks like you two are having a lot of fun! I love old houses (what can I say, I’ve been spending my summer interning at one) and porches, so I’m using my imagination right now to conjure up the house in this picture, complete with a wrap-around porch (if there isn’t actually such a porch, just pretend there is one because they’re so awesome).

I need to go to the South.
I feel that I would fit in nicely.
This looks like the perfect way to spend an afternoon…or a lifetime.
