What's in My Bag? #1

I’m obsessed with those magazine features that show you what people have in their bags. My sister carries everything she needs in an adorable little cross-body bag the size of a clutch. One of my friends carries a shoulder bag that reminds me of Mary Poppins’ carpet bag with a lamp inside. I’m convinced that the contents of our bags is equivalent to handwriting analysis.

The contents of my bag change all the time. Here’s what was inside my bag today . . .

THE BAG: My black Marc by Marc Jacobs bag my stepmother bought me for a significant birthday (I’m going with 21). I’m sure it has a name, but I have no idea what it is.

THE CONTENTS: Sunglasses, Wallet, Make-Up Bag, Magic Blue Rock, Chapstick, 2 Little Pet Shop Animals, Lipstick, Lipstain, Lip Gloss, Mascara, Pen, Trash, Gum, Highlighter, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Necklace, Book

Let’s take a closer look . . .

Clockwise from left to right (some items are in the next photo):

– One slightly broken pair of sunglasses from the 3-for-$20 kiosk at the mall.
– My wallet that they only seem to sell at TJ Max.
Trash (probably a receipt I will throw away and need later).
– My 5 year-old’s Magic Blue Rock that has been missing for a week.
– Tube of Maybelline Volume Express Mega Plush waterproof mascara in Very Black. This stuff is INSANE! I am mascara challenged and this is the first mascara that hasn’t ended up all over my face. It’s made of some kind of gel that doesn’t harden right away, so you can keep applying over and over and it doesn’t get sticky and clump.
– CoverGirl Outlast Lip Stain in Everbloom.
– Millennium felt pen in black.
– My daughter’s Littlest Pet Shop Puppy from the Sparkle Collection.
– A pack of Dentyne Ice.
– Mac lipstick in Craving.
– Nivea chapstick.
– My daughter’s Littlest Pet Shop Bunny from the Sparkle Collection.

– 1 yellow highlighter (for highlighting reference books).
– Kevyn Aucoin Lip Gloss in Valentina (This looks bright pink in the compact, but blots to the perfect shade of pink & it’s not sticky.
– My go-to vintage necklace by Paula Montgomery. She makes the MOST gorgeous necklace from vintage strands and elements & they go with everything.
– An Advanced Reader Copy of THROUGH THE EVER NIGHT, the sequel to UNDER THE NEVER SKY, by Veronica Rossi. I LOVE this book! And I’m in love with Peregrine, the sexy male protagonist.
– My free gift makeup bag from 3 Lab that never stays closed.
– Band-Aids.
– Travel toothbrush and toothpaste because I brush my teeth constantly (weird).

I love the Little Petshops (I have none in my handbag but some in my painting studio ;)).
The name «Peregrine» makes me think of Tolkien ahah

I LOVE THAT !
I always have in my bag, an spiral notebook because I always have news ideas and after I wrote on it, Books – Today it’s Shatter Me, pens, Cds (The Doors, Foo Fighters & Pink Floyd), Candies, my phone (Because I’m a Twitter addict)…

I read UNDER THE NEVER SKY too, and I really like it. I just can’t wait to read the next book, because I really like Peregrine & Aria. They are so cute.
