What’s on My Inspiration Board #12

I started out in college as a fine arts major. Even though I ultimately ended up being a writer, I still see the world in pictures.

When I’m building a new story, images allow me to physically see the characters and the places the way I visualize them in my mind. Inspiration boards are also a great way the get a feel for the mood of the book, or a particular scene.

I have four cork boards (24×36) for UNBREAKABLE. Here’s a look at some of the images that inspired me this week.

I like the idea of an inspiration board. Sometimes visual is better than index cards and notes. Where did you find the pictures? Also, I love that line: I want to be your favorite hello, and your hardest goodbye. It’s raw and deep. Perfect for a book, if it’s not already in one.
