Inside a Real Civil War Fort: Fort Macon, NC

I don’t know if you’ve been inside a Civil War fort recently, but I have. I love visiting Civil War forts and battlefields because they give me a real sense of the history of the places we are writing about in BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, BEAUTIFUL DARKNESS & the yet-to-be-named Book 3.

    The only thing I see is Fort MACON *tears*. But it looks like it was a very nice tour :D!

    I could be wrong but it seems your book is paranormal based in early US history. Love that. I’m drawing from the same time period for my fantasy. I’d like to see writers develop more of our early American lore and myth.
